Goal days and streaks

A goal day is a day you reach your daily step goal. Your streak is the number of goal days in a row. Days without step data don't count and don't end it.

Goal days

A goal day is a day you reach the daily step goal you had that day. All your walking counts: steps from Apple Health or Health Connect and your Mova walks. Today becomes a goal day as soon as you reach your goal.

If you change your goal, past days keep the goal they had, so they don’t change.

Your streak

Your streak is how many goal days you’ve had in a row, for example 4-day streak.

  • A goal day adds one.
  • A finished day below your goal, with full step data, ends the streak.
  • A day without full step data neither counts nor ends it, unless you reached your goal anyway; then it counts. Mova shows Waiting for complete activity data while it’s waiting.
  • Mova shows your best streak and its dates.

There are no streak freezes or make-up days. When a streak ends, Mova says No current streak · Reach today’s goal to start a new streak.

The Consistency calendar

Open it from Progress › Overview (tap the goal days), from Achievements › Streak, or from Goal days and streaks on a day.

The Consistency screen: a 1-day streak, best 4 days, and an October calendar with goal days filled, missed days outlined and days without data dotted.
Consistency (example data).

Each day shows Goal reached, Not reached, No data, Today or Before goals (before you started with Mova). Tap a day to see its steps and walks. Use the arrows to move between months.

Under the calendar you’ll see the month: your Monthly goal (reached or not, and how many days it’s based on), Goal days, Steps, Recorded walks, Distance and Walking time.

Your monthly goal

The monthly goal is the sum of your daily goals in that month. It’s reached when your steps for the month reach it. A month you joined partway through has no monthly goal.
